Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RavelinStream ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

RavelinStream provides a lightweight API for screening LLM prompts against policy rules and optional moderation models. The Service is designed as a supplementary safety layer and does not guarantee complete protection against all prompt injection, jailbreak, or policy violation attempts.

3. No Guarantee of Accuracy

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. RavelinStream does not warrant that:

• All malicious prompts will be detected or blocked
• All safe prompts will pass without false positives
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The LLM moderation layer will produce accurate results

You acknowledge that no prompt safety system is 100% effective, and you are solely responsible for implementing appropriate security measures in your own applications.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROMPTGUARD AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Security breaches resulting from reliance on the Service
• Harm caused by prompts that were incorrectly classified
• Damages arising from service interruptions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Not use the Service to facilitate harmful, illegal, or abusive activities
• Maintain the confidentiality of your API keys
• Implement your own security measures independent of RavelinStream
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer or bypass the Service's detection mechanisms

6. API Usage and Rate Limits

Access to the Service is governed by your subscription plan's request limits. Exceeding limits may result in temporary suspension. We reserve the right to modify limits with reasonable notice.

7. Data Handling

Prompts submitted to the API are processed in real-time. We log usage metadata (request counts, latency, cost, safe/unsafe verdicts) for billing and service improvement. We do not store prompt content beyond what is necessary for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the Service, or engage in activity that poses a security risk. You may terminate by canceling your subscription.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
