1. Overview
RavelinStream ("we", "us", "our") provides a prompt safety API. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. Data We Collect
Account data: Email address, account creation date, subscription plan.
Usage metadata: API request counts, endpoint called, safe/unsafe verdicts, latency, model/provider used, token counts, estimated cost.
Billing data: Managed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Prompt content: We do not store prompt content. Prompts are processed in real-time and discarded after the safety check returns a verdict.
3. How We Use Data
- Provide and improve the Service
- Enforce rate limits and billing
- Monitor service health and performance
- Detect abuse and security threats
- Communicate with you about your account
We do not sell your data. We do not use your prompts to train models.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third parties:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Railway — infrastructure hosting
- OpenRouter / OpenAI / Anthropic — optional LLM moderation (only when enabled by your plan)
When the LLM moderation layer is enabled, your prompt is sent to the selected provider for classification. We do not control their data retention policies.
5. Data Retention
Usage metadata is retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after cancellation. Account data is deleted upon request.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted transit (TLS), hashed API keys, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Children
The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email.
